Celebrations marking Idd Al-Ghadir on climax

PARIS, France: The auspicious and blessed occasion of Idd Al-Ghadir Al-Aghar or the Feast of Ghadir is being celebrated across the globe on 18th day of Dhol-Hijjah which falls this year on December 16 Tuesday in some countries and December 17 Wednesday in many other countries.
Grand celebrations, festivals, festive gatherings, feasts, banquets, poetic evenings, conferences, seminars and symposiums are held at beautifully decorated with lights and buntings shrines, tombs, mosques, husseiniyaat, imambaras and Islamic centers making the blessed day.
It is that great Idd when in the 10 A.H., the Holy Prophet (peace beon him and his holy progeny) declared the mastership of Ameerul Momineen Ali Ibn Abi Taalib (peace be on him) by holding his arm high and proclaiming “Of whomsoever I am the Master (Maula) Ali is his master (Maula) too” before a crowd of more than one lakh and 20 thousand people, comprising of both Mohjajereen and Ansaar at the place of “Ghadir-e-Khomm” on their way back to home after performing hajj.
