The day of Eid-e-Mubahila is a special day. It is a day where the Prophet chose his daughter, the lady of light, Bibi Fatema az-Zahra (A.S.), his cousin and his successor, the first Imam, Imam Ali (A.S.) and his two grandsons, the leaders of the youth of paradise, Imam Hassan (A.S.) and Imam Husayn (A.S.). The prophet could have chosen anybody but he chose these selected infallible beings
We send our congratulations to our Twelfth Imam and the Fourteenth Infallible, the living Hujjah, Imam Muhammed Al-Mahdi (AS), our righteous scholars and Ulama, and to the Muslim world on the happy and Marvelous Eid,

The event of Mubahila is an extremely important part of history because it shows how close the Ahlul Bayt were to the Holy Prophet (SAW) and thus to Allah (SWT). Imam Ali (AS) used to be called the "Soul of the Prophet" after the event, because the Holy Prophet (SAW) took him to the field of Mubahila as his soul.
فمن حاجك فيه من بعد ما جاءك من العلم فقل تعالوا ندع ابناءنا وابناءكم ونساءنا ونساءكم وانفسنا وانفسكم ثم نبتهل فنجعل لعنة الله على الكاذبين
Soora 3 Ayat 61
And whoso disputeth with thee concerning him, after the knowledge which hath come unto thee, say (unto him): Come! We will summon our sons and your sons, and our women and your women, and ourselves and yourselves, then we will pray humbly (to our Lord) and (solemnly) invoke the curse of Allah upon those who lie.

The Event of Mubahala took place in this masjid at Madina Munawara
Also today,Ali ibne abli Taalib (A.S.) gave his ring to a destitute in the position of Rukoo, while praying “Salaat”, in the Masjid Nabawee. Actually all the companions were praying behind the Holy Prophet. The destitute came in and asked for alms. No one paid any attention. Being disappointed, he was going away. At that moment Ali (A.S.) held out his hand, The destitute saw and took the ring. The companions expressed doubt about the concentration of heart and mind in worship of Allah when this event took place.
In reply the All-knowing . All –Aware sent down this declaration. " Verily your “Walee” is Allah; and His Messenger and those who establish “Salaat”, and pay “Zakaat” while they be in “Rukoo”. (Maa-Idah: 55) "
The Messenger said on many occasions: "Ali is from me and I am from him."
Hubshi Ibn Janadah reported that he heard the Messenger of God, saying:
"Ali is from me and I am from him, and no one represents me but Ali."
( The third occasion is this ) when the following verse was revealed : Let us summon our children and your children. Allah's messenger ( pbuh&f ) called Ali, Fatima, Hasan and Hussain and said : O Allah , these are my family ...
