    In the Name of Allah , the Most High

    The Holy Month of Ramadhan



    "O People! The month of Allah (Ramadan) has approached you with His mercy and blessings. This is the month that is the best of all months in the estimation of Allah. Its days are the best among the days; its nights are the best among the nights. Its hours are the best among the hours. This is a month in which he has invited you. You have been, in this month, selected as the recipients of the honors of Allah, the Merciful. In this holy month, when you breathe, it has the Sawab/thawab (heavenly reward) of 'Tasbeeh' (the praise of Allah on rosary beads), and your sleep has the thawab of worship. Your good deeds are accepted in this month. So are your invocations. Therefore, you must invoke your Lord, in right earnest, with hearts that are free from sins and evils, that Allah may bless you, observe fast, in this month, and recite the Holy Qur'an". - Prophet Mohammed saw

            Ramadan Quotes: A Quick preparation list for the month of Ramadan





            Ramadan is the month of excitement for Muslims. Ramadan is the month of revelation of Quran, the month of reading and reciting the whole Quran, the month of Tahajjud and Qiyam al-layl prayers, Sadaqah, Zakah al-Fitr and Zakah al-Mal. Ramadan is also a month of social activities among Muslims.
            No one can go anywhere without preparation, and no one invites a guest without preparing to welcome him / her. Similarly, to welcome Ramadan, the month of fasting, one has to prepare. The following are some tips to help the reader prepare accordingly:

            Start reading Quran daily after Salat al-Fajr.

            Spend some time listening to recitations from the Quran.

            Train yourself to go bed early so that you can wake up far Salat al-Fajr.

            Keep yourself in a state of Wudu (Ablution) most of the time.

            ************uate yourself daily before going bed.

            Thank Allah for good deeds, and repent to Him for your mistakes and sins.

            Start giving Sadaqah daily, no matter how little. Make it a habit like eating and drinking.

            Find time to pray extras, such as Tahajjud prayers.
            [*]
            Spend more time reading Islamic books, especially the Quran, Sirah, Hadith, and Fiqh.

            Find time to help others with your wisdom, knowledge and other talents.
            [*]
            Try to write articles on Islam for Muslims as well as for non-Muslims.
            [*]
            Associate with Muslim scholars / ulama and other pious people so that you may learn from them.

            Train yourself to do good, render free service to others to seek the pleasure of Allah.

              Ramadan Quotes: What to avoid list during the month of Ramadan

              Reduce watching TV, instead spend more time reading the Quran and other Islamic literature.
              [*]
              Avoid looking at unlawful pictures, whether magazines, department store catalogs or otherwise.
              [*]
              Avoid going to theaters; instead go to Masajid, Islamic organizations and make that a daily habit.
              [*]
              Avoid eating too much. Eat only when you are hungry and try not to fill your stomach completely.
              [*]
              If you drink Coffee, Tea or Soda, be sure to reduce consumption.
              [*]
              If you smoke, try to reduce daily usage; otherwise Ramadan will be very difficult for you to observe.

              If you like to listen to music, whether the style of western societies or even those from Muslim countries, reduce, even eliminate the time you spent on them; replace them with reciting and listening to recitation from the Quran.

              If you travel a lot on business, try to do more local business, so you can be more closer to your family and community.

              If you are used to staying up till midnight, try to go to bed earlier, so that you will be able to wake up early for Salat al-Fajr and Tahajjud prayers as well.

              To prepare ourselves before the month of Ramadan arrives is far better than waiting till it comes. To prepare ourselves for anything in life is a sign of wisdom and maturity. No one is assured of living one day more; tomorrow may not come. So hurry and benefit from blessings and rewards from Allah.

                Things which are Makrooh for a Person Observing Fast



                1666. * Certain things are Makrooh for a person observing fast, some of them are mentioned below :

                (i) Using eyedrops and applying Surma if its taste or smell reaches the throat.
                (ii) Performing an act, which causes weakness, like blood-letting (extracting the blood from the body) or going for hot bath.
                (iii) Inhaling a snuff if one is not aware that it might reach the throat; and if one is aware that it will reach the throat its use is not permissible.
                (iv) Smelling fragrant herbs.
                (v) For women, to sit in the water.
                (vi) Using suppository, that is, letting into rectum a stimulant for bowels.
                (vii) Wetting the dress which one is wearing.
                (viii) Getting a tooth extracted or doing something as a result of which there is bleeding in the mouth.
                (ix) Cleaning the teeth with a wet toothbrush.
                (x) Putting water or any other liquid in the mouth without a good cause.
                It is also Makrooh for a fasting person to court or woo his wife without the intention of ejaculation; or to do something which excites him sexually. And if he does it with the intention of ejaculation, and no ejaculation takes place, his fast, as an obligatory precaution, will be deemed void

                  In the Name of Allah , the Beneficent, the Merciful

                  Dua Eftitah


                  It is reported from authentic Sources that Imam-e-Asr (A.S.) wrote to his Shias to recite this Dua in this month, as angels listen to this Dua recited in this month and seek forgiveness for the reciter. This Excellent Dua is as under:



                  اَللّـهُمَّ اِنّي اَفْتَتِحُ الثَّناءَ بِحَمْدِكَ، وَاَنْتَ مُسَدِّدٌ لِلصَّوابِ بِمَّنِكَ، وَاَيْقَنْتُ اَنَّكَ اَنْتَ اَرْحَمُ الرّاحِمينَ في مَوْضِعِ الْعَفْوِ وَالرَّحْمَةِ
                  وَاَشَدُّ الْمُعاقِبينَ في مَوْضِعِ النَّكالِ وَالنَّقِمَةِ، وَاَعْظَمُ الْمُتَجَبِّرِينَ في مَوْضِعِ الْكِبْرياءِ وَالْعَظَمَةِ،

                  O Allah, I begin the glorification with praise of Thee; Thou, from Thy bounties, gives out freely the truth and salvation; I know for certain that Thou art the most merciful in disposition of forgiveness and mercy
                  [but] very exacting at the time of giving exemplary punishment and chastisement to wrongdoers, the Omnipotent in the domain of absolute power and might.

                  اَللّـهُمَّ اَذِنْتَ لي في دُعائِك وَمَسْأَلَتِكَ فَاسْمَعْ يا سَميعُ مِدْحَتي، وَاَجِبْ يا رَحيمُ دَعْوَتي، وَاَقِلْ يا غَفُورُ عَثْرَتي، فَكَمْ يا اِلهي مِنْ كُرْبَة قَدْ فَرَّجْتَها وَهُمُوم قَدْ كَشَفْتَها، وَعَثْرَة قَدْ اَقَلْتَها، وَرَحْمَة قَدْ نَشَرْتَها، وَحَلْقَةِ بَلاء قَدْ فَكَكْتَها،

                  O Allah, Thou has given me permission to invoke Thee and beseech Thee, so listen, O Hearer, to my words of
                  praise, and give a favorable reply to my supplication, and minimize my falling into misery, O the often-forgiving.
                  O my Allah, many a trouble Thou hath removed; many a sorrow hath Thou dispelled; many a misery hath Thou
                  mitigated; and at all times Thou spread out mercy, and cutteth short the tightening circles of misfortunes.



                  اَلْحَمْدُ للهِ الَّذي لَمْ يَتَّخِذْ صاحِبَةً وَلا وَلَداً، وَلَمْ يَكُنْ لَهُ شَريكٌ في الْمُلْكِ، وَلَمْ يَكُنْ لَهُ وَلِىٌّ مِنَ الذُّلِّ وَكَبِّرْهُ تَكْبيراً، اَلْحَمْدُ للهِ بِجَميعِ مَحامِدِهِ كُلِّهَا، عَلى جَميعِ نِعَمِهِ كُلِّها اَلْحَمْدُ للهِ

                  الَّذي لا مُضادَّ لَهُ في مُلْكِهِ، وَلا مُنازِعَ لَهُ في اَمْرِهِ، اَلْحَمْدُ للهِ الَّذي لا شَريكَ لَهُ في خَلْقِهِ، وَلا شَبيهَ لَهُ في عَظَمَتِهِ، اَلْحَمْدُ للهِ الْفاشي في الْخَلْقِ اَمْرُهُ وَحَمْدُهُ، الظّاهِرِ بِالْكَرَمِ مَجْدُهُ، الْباسِطِ بِالْجُودِ يَدَهُ، الَّذي لا تَنْقُصُ خَزائِنُهُ، وَلا تَزيدُهُ كَثْرَةُ الْعَطاءِ إلاّ جُوداً وَكَرَماً، اِنَّهُ هُوَ الْعَزيزُ الْوَهّابُ

                  All praise is to Allah, Who has not taken unto Himself a wife, or a son, and who has no partner in sovereignty,
                  nor any protecting friend through dependence. Magnify Him with all magnificence.
                  All praise be to Allah, with full gratitude for all his bounties.
                  All praise be to Allah, Who has no opposition to His rule, nor any challenge to His commands.
                  All praise be to Allah, Who has no counsel to meddle with His operation of creation, nor is there anything similar to Him in His greatness.
                  All praise be to Allah, Whose commandments operate in Creation; His glory is evident through love and kindness.
                  His distinct overflowing generosity is freely available through His unlimited bestowals which do not exhaust His resources, and He does not swell the numerous benefits except because of generosity and kindness. Verily He is mighty, generous.


                  ، اَللّـهُمَّ اِنّي اَسْاَلُكَ قَليلاً مِنْ كَثير، مَعَ حاجَة بي اِلَيْهِ عَظيمَة وَغِناكَ عَنْهُ قَديمٌ، وَهُوَ عِنْدي كَثيرٌ، وَهُوَ عَلَيْكَ سَهْلٌ يَسيرٌ
                  اَللّـهُمَّ اِنَّ عَفْوَكَ عَنْ ذَنْبي، وَتَجاوُزَكَ عَنْ خَطيـئَتي، وَصَفْحَكَ عَنْ ظُلْمي وَسِتْرَكَ عَنْ قَبيحِ عَمَلي،
                  وَحِلْمَكَ عَنْ كَثيرِ جُرْمي، عِنْدَ ما كانَ مِنْ خَطئي وَعَمْدي،

                  O Allah, I ask for some from much, in the midst of my very many needs for which I entirely depend on Thee, and, since eternity, Thou art able to do without it but for me it is a titanic effort and for Thee is very easy and simple.
                  O Allah, truly, when Thou pardon my sins, overlook my mistakes, take a lenient view of my disorderly conduct, cover up my foul actions, show consideration in spite of my many transgressions committed willfully or negligently

                  اَطْمَعَني في اَنْ اَسْأَلَكَ ما لا اَسْتَوْجِبُهُ مِنْكَ، الَّذي رَزَقْتَني مِنْ رَحْمَتِكَ، وَاَرَيْتَني مَنْ قُدْرَتِكَ، وَعَرَّفْتَني مِنْ اِجابَتِكَ، فَصِرْتُ مُدِلاًّ عَلَيْكَ فيـما قَصَدْتُ فيهِ اِلَيْكَ، اَدْعُوكَ آمِناً، وَاَسْاَلُكَ مُسْتَأنِساً، لا خائِفاً وَلا وَجِلاً،
                  مُدِلاًّ عَلَيْكَ فيـما قَصَدْتُ فيهِ اِلَيْكَ، فَاِنْ اَبْطأَ عَنّي عَتَبْتُ بِجَهْلي عَلَيْكَ،
                  وَلَعَلَّ الَّذي اَبْطأَ عَنّي هُوَ خَيْرٌ لي
                  لِعِلْمِكَ بِعاقِبَةِ الاُْمُورِ

                  So I persist in calling out, believing in Thee, and I invoke Thee, talking familiarly, not afraid, nor shy, but
                  assured of Thy love and kindness whenever I turn to Thee
                  A temporary setback, and I, out of ignorance, begin to despair, although perhaps slowing down may be a blessing in disguise. Because Thou alone knows [all] the consequences.

                  فَلَمْ اَرَ مَوْلاً كَريماً اَصْبَرَ عَلى عَبْد لَئيم مِنْكَ عَلَيَّ يا رَبِّ، اِنَّكَ تَدْعُوني فَاُوَلّي عَنْكَ، وَتَتَحَبَّبُ اِلَيَّ فَاَتَبَغَّضُ اِلَيْكَ، وَتَتَوَدَّدُ اِلَىَّ فَلا اَقْبَلُ مِنْكَ، كَاَنَّ لِيَ التَّطَوُّلَ عَلَيْكَ، فَلَمْ يَمْنَعْكَ ذلِكَ مِنَ الرَّحْمَةِ لي، وَالاِْحْسانِ اِلَىَّ، وَالتَّفَضُّلِ عَلَيَّ بِجُودِكَ
                  وَكَرَمِكَ،فَارْحَمْ عَبْدَكَ الْجاهِلَ وَجُدْ عَلَيْهِ بِفَضْلِ اِحْسانِكَ اِنَّكَ جَوادٌ كَريمٌ،
                  I know no generous master who is more accommodating to dissatisfied servants that Thou art to me.
                  O Lord, Thou give an invitation but I turn it down. Thou become familiar with me but I do not care for Thee. Thou love me but I do not correspond to Thee as if Thou are overreaching me.
                  Yet Thou doth not abstain from bestowing favors and blessings on me from Thy mercy and generosity so have mercy on Thy ignorant servant Verily Thou art generous and kind.


                  اَلْحَمْدُ للهِ مالِكِ الْمُلْكِ، مُجْرِي الْفُلْكِ، مُسَخِّرِ الرِّياحِ، فالِقِ الاِْصْباحِ، دَيّانِ الدّينِ، رَبِّ الْعَالَمينَ، اَلْحَمْدُ للهِ عَلى حِلْمِهِ بَعْدَ عِلمِهِ، وَالْحَمْدُ للهِ عَلى عَفْوِهِ بَعْدَ قُدْرَتِهِ، وَالْحَمْدُ للهِ عَلى طُولِ اَناتِهِ في غَضَبِهِ، وَهُوَ قادِرٌ عَلى ما يُريدُ،
                  اَلْحَمْدُ للهِ خالِقِ الْخَلْقِ، باسِطِ الرِّزْقِ، فاِلقِ اَلاِْصْباحِ ذِي الْجَلالِ وَالاِْكْرامِ وَالْفَضْلِ وَالاِْنْعامِ،
                  الَّذي بَعُدَ فَلا يُرى، وَقَرُبَ فَشَهِدَ النَّجْوى تَبارَكَ
                  وَتَعالى،

                  Praise be To Allah the owner of sovereignty, Who sets the course of the skies and the stars controls the winds, causes the daybreak, and administers authority, the Lord of the worlds.
                  Praise be to Allah for His indulgence in the wake of His all-awareness.
                  Praise be to Allah for His amnesty ensuing from His omnipotence.
                  Praise be To Allah for the respite He allows In spite of provocation.
                  He is able to do what He wills.
                  Praise be to Allah, the creator of all the created beings, Who makes sustenance freely available, starts the day, the owner of glory, might, favours, and bounties, Who is far away, invisible, and nearest, so near that He is fully aware of the whispered secrets, the Blessed, the Praised.


                  اَلْحَمْدُ للهِ الَّذي لَيْسَ لَهُ مُنازِعٌ يُعادِلُهُ، وَلا شَبيهٌ يُشاكِلُهُ، وَلا ظَهيرٌ يُعاضِدُهُ قَهَرَ بِعِزَّتِهِ الاَْعِزّاءَ، وَتَواضَعَ لِعَظَمَتِهِ الْعُظَماءُ، فَبَلَغَ بِقُدْرَتِهِ ما يَشاءُ، اَلْحَمْدُ للهِ الَّذي يُجيبُني حينَ اُناديهِ، وَ يَسْتُرُ عَلَيَّ كُلَّ عَورَة وَاَنَا اَعْصيهِ، وَيُعَظِّمُ الْنِّعْمَةَ عَلَىَّ فَلا اُجازيهِ،
                  فَكَمْ مِنْ مَوْهِبَة هَنيئَة قَدْ اَعْطاني، وَعَظيمَة مَخُوفَة قَدْ كَفاني، وَبَهْجَة مُونِقَة قَدْ اَراني،
                  فَاُثْني عَلَيْهِ حامِداً، وَاَذْكُرُهُ مُسَبِّحاً،

                  Praise be to Allah, Who has no equal to challenge Him, nor is there an image comparable to Him, nor a helper to assist Him.
                  He tames the powerful by His force, and disgraced are the terrible before His greatness; so He, through His power, fulfils that which He wills.
                  Praise be to Allah, Who gives answer to me whenever I call Him; covers up my shortcomings yet I disobey Him; gives me the largest part of the bounties yet I want more. Many favors He has sanctioned; many terrible dangers He has averted; and many blossoming joys he has made available for me. Therefore, I sing His praises and recite His glorifications.


                  اَلْحَمْدُ للهِ الَّذي لا يُهْتَكُ حِجابُهُ، وَلا يُغْلَقُ بابُهُ، وَلا يُرَدُّ سائِلُهُ، وَلا يُخَيَّبُ آمِلُهُ، اَلْحَمْدُ للهِ الَّذي يُؤْمِنُ الْخائِفينَ، وَيُنَجِّى الصّالِحينَ، وَيَرْفَعُ الْمُسْتَضْعَفينَ، وَيَضَعُ الْمُسْتَكْبِرينَ،يُهْلِكُ مُلُوكاً وَيَسْتَخْلِفُ آخَرينِ،

                  Praise be to Allah. None can disclose anything hidden by Him; none can shut the doors kept open by Him; no one who makes a request is sent away disappointed by Him; and no one who looks long and attentively is deluded in his hopes.

                  Praise be to Allah, Who gives protection to the frightened; comes to the help of the upright; promotes the cause of the weak and the enslaved; annihilates the autocrats; destroys rulers and appoints the "awaited saviors" in their place.


                  وَالْحَمْدُ للهِ قاِصمِ الجَّبارينَ، مُبيرِ الظّالِمينَ، مُدْرِكِ الْهارِبينَ، نَكالِ الظّالِمينَ صَريخِ الْمُسْتَصْرِخينَ، مَوْضِعِ حاجاتِ الطّالِبينَ، مُعْتَمَدِ الْمُؤْمِنينَ، اَلْحَمْدُ للهِ الَّذي مِنْ خَشْيَتِهِ تَرْعَدُ السَّماءُ وَسُكّانُها، وَتَرْجُفُ الاَْرْضُ وَعُمّارُها، وَتَمُوجُ الْبِحارُ وَمَنْ يَسْبَحُ في غَمَراتِها، اَلْحَمْدُ للهِ الَّذي هَدانا لِهذا وَما كُنّا لِنَهْتَدِيَ لَوْلا اَنْ هَدانَا اللّهُ،

                  Praise be to Allah, Who breaks everything belonging to the oppressors; puts an end to the tyrants; watches over the fugitives; brings assistance to those who cry out for help; meets and clears up the demands of the needy beseechers; supports the faithful.
                  Praise be to Allah. In his awe-inspiring fear the heavens and its dwellers tremble and shiver; the earth and its inhabitants shake and quiver; the oceans and all that floats and swims in its waters flow together in excitement and tumult.
                  Praise be to Allah, Who has guided us to this. We could not truly have been led aright if Allah had not guided us.


                  اَلْحَمْدُ للهِ الَّذي يَخْلُقُ،وَلَمْ يُخْلَقْ وَيَرْزُقُ، وَلا يُرْزَقُ وَيُطْعِمُ، وَلا يُطْعَمُ وَيُميتُ الاَْحياءَ وَيُحْيِي الْمَوْتى وَهُوَ حَيٌّ لا يَمُوتُ، بِيَدِهِ الْخَيْرُ وَهُوَ عَلى كُلِّ شَيْء قَديرٌ،

                  Praise be to Allah, Who creates but is not created; gives subsistence but needs no provisions; gives food to eat but takes no nourishment; makes the living dead and brings the dead to life; and He is the ever living, there is
                  no death for Him; in His hands is all the good. And He is able to do all things

                  اَللّـهُمَّ صَلِّ عَلى مُحَمَّد عَبْدِكَ وَرَسُولِكَ، وَاَمينِكَ، وَصَفِيِّكَ، وَحَبيبِكَ، وَخِيَرَتِكَ مَنْ خَلْقِكَ، وَحافِظِ سِرِّكَ، وَمُبَلِّغِ رِسالاتِكَ،
                  اَفْضَلَ وَاَحْسَنَ، وَاَجْمَلَ وَاَكْمَلَ، وَاَزْكى وَاَنْمى، وَاَطْيَبَ وَاَطْهَرَ، وَاَسْنى وَاَكْثَرَ ما صَلَّيْتَ وَبارَكْتَ وَتَرَحَّمْتَ،
                  وَتَحَنَّنْتَ وَسَلَّمْتَ عَلَيْكَ مِن خَلْقِكَ،



                  O Allah, send blessings on Muhammad, Thy servant, Messenger, confidant, friend, beloved intimate, mercy unto all the created beings, bearer of Thy sacraments, quotient of Thy messengers, the most superior, the exquisite, the most handsome, the most perfect, the upright, the more prospering, the more pleasant, the thoroughly purified, the sublime; who has more and better blessings, advantages, mercies, affections and salutations than Thou made available to any one of Thy servants, prophets, messengers, friends, and those
                  honored by Thee from among Thy created being

                  اَللّـهُمَّ وَصَلِّ عَلى عَليٍّ اَميرِ الْمُؤْمِنينَ، وَوَصِيِّ رَسُولِ رَبِّ الْعالَمينَ، عَبْدِكَ وَوَليِّكَ، وَاَخي رَسُولِكَ،
                  وَحُجَّتِكَ عَلى خَلْقِكَ، وَآيَتِكَ الْكُبْرى، وَالنَّبأِ الْعَظيمِ،

                  O Allah send blessings on "Ali the Leader of the Faithful, the successor to the Messenger of the Lord of the worlds, Thy servant, Thy beloved representative, brother of Thy Messenger, Thy decisive argument over
                  mankind, Thy most important sign, the great news from Thee.

                  وَصَلِّ عَلَى الصِّدّيقَةِ الطّاهِرَةِ فاطِمَةَ سَيِّدَةِ نِساءِ الْعالَمينَ، وَصَلِّ عَلى سِبْطَيِ الرَّحْمَةِ وَاِمامَيِ الْهُدى، الْحَسَنِ وَالْحُسَيْنِ سَيِّدَيْ شَبابِ اَهْلِ الْجَّنَةِ، وَصَلِّ عَلى اَئِمَّةِ الْمُسْلِمينَ، عَلِيِّ بْنِ الْحُسَيْنِ، وَمُحَمَّدِ ابْنِ عَلِيٍّ، وَجَعْفَرِ بْنِ مُحَمَّد،
                  وَمُوسَى بْنِ جَعْفَر، وَعَلِيِّ بْنِ مُوسى، وَمُحَمَّدِ بْنِ عَلِيٍّ، وَعَلِيِّ بْنِ مُحَمَّد، وَالْحَسَنِ بْنِ عَلِىٍّ،
                  وَالْخَلَفِ الْهادي الْمَهْدِيِّ، حُجَجِكَ عَلى عِبادِكَ، وَاُمَنائِكَ في بِلادِكَ صَلَاةً كَثيرَةً دائِمَةً
                  اَللّـهُمَّ وَصَلِّ عَلى وَلِىِّ اَمْرِكَ الْقائِمِ الْمُؤَمَّلِ، وَالْعَدْلِ الْمُنْتَظَرِ،
                  وَحُفَّهُ بِمَلائِكَتِكَ الْمُقَرَّبينَ، وَاَيِّدْهُ بِرُوحِ الْقُدُسِ يا رَبَّ الْعالَمينَ،

                  O Allah, send blessings on the truthful pure Fatima, the chosen leader of the women of the worlds Allah, send blessings on the sons of "the mercy unto the worlds", the leaders and guides, the Imams al-Hassan and al-Hussein, the leaders of the dwellers of Paradise. O Allah, send blessings on the Leaders of the Muslims, "Ali ibn al-Hussein, Muhammad ibn "Ali, Jafar ibn Muhammad, Musa ibn Jafar, "Ali ibn Musa, Muhammad ibn Ali, "Ali ibn Muhammad, al-Hassan ibn Ali, and his son, the rightly guided Guide, Thy decisive argument over Thy servants, Thy trustworthy confidant on Thy earth; blessings, numerous, and for ever.
                  O Allah, send blessings on the Custodian of thy commandments, the vigilant Guardian, the reliable Patron, the awaited Justice, surrounded by Thy favorite angels, assisted by the Holy Spirit. O Lord of the worlds.


                  اَللّـهُمَّ اجْعَلْهُ الدّاعِيَ اِلى كِتابِكَ، وَالْقائِمَ بِدينِكَ، اِسْتَخْلِفْهُ في الاَْرْضِ كَما اسْتَخْلَفْتَ الَّذينَ مِنْ قَبْلِهِ، مَكِّنْ لَهُ دينَهُ الَّذي ارْتَضَيْتَهُ لَهُ، اَبْدِلْهُ مِنْ بَعْدِ خَوْفِهِ اَمْناً يَعْبُدُكَ لا يُشْرِكُ بِكَ شَيْئاً، اَللّـهُمَّ اَعِزَّهُ وَاَعْزِزْ بِهِ، وَانْصُرْهُ وَانْتَصِرْ بِهِ،
                  وَانْصُرْهُ نَصْراً عَزيزاً، وَاْفتَحْ لَهُ فَتْحاً يَسيراً، وَاجْعَلْ لَهُ مِنْ لَدُنْكَ سُلْطاناً نَصيراً، اَللّـهُمَّ اَظْهِرْ بِهِ دينَكَ،
                  وَسُنَّةَ نَبِيِّكَ، حَتّى لا يَسْتَخْفِيَ بِشَىْء مِنَ الْحَقِّ، مَخافَةَ اَحَد مِنَ الْخَلْقِ

                  O Allah, send him to call the people unto Thy Book for establishing Thy religion, and make him succeed in the earth, as Thou caused those who were before him to succeed, and establish for him his faith which Thou has approved for him, and give him in exchange safety after fear. He serves Thee.
                  He ascribes nothing as partner unto Thee.
                  O Allah, gives him power and authority, and through him strengthens the people. Give him the necessary assistance, and through him support the people, and make him prevail over allya final decisive victory, and delegate him Thy controlling authority.
                  O Allah, give currency to Thy religion, and the way of life of Thy Prophet, through him till nothing which is just and genuine is kept concealed from any human being


                  اَللّـهُمَّ اِنّا نَرْغَبُ اِلَيْكَ في دَوْلَة كَريمَة تُعِزُّ بِهَا الاِْسْلامَ وَاَهْلَهُ، وَتُذِلُّ بِهَا النِّفاقَ وَاَهْلَهُ، وَتَجْعَلُنا فيها مِنَ الدُّعاةِ اِلى طاعَتِكَ
                  وَالْقادَةِ اِلى سَبيلِكَ، وَتَرْزُقُنا بِها كَرامَةَ الدُّنْيا وَالاْخِرَةِ،

                  O Allah, we ardently desire that in [his] kind, just, and fair era, Thou should reactivate Islam and stimulate its followers, and humble and humiliate the imposters and their double-dealing, and include us among those who invite people unto Thy obedience, and lead them to Thy approved path, and give us the good of this world and the world to come.

                  اَللّـهُمَّ ما عَرَّفْتَنا مِن الْحَقِّ فَحَمِّلْناهُ، وَما قَصُرْنا عَنْهُ فَبَلِّغْناهُ، اَللّـهُمَّ الْمُمْ بِهِ شَعَثَنا، وَاشْعَبْ بِهِ صَدْعَنا، وَارْتُقْ بِهِ فَتْقَنا، وَكَثِّرْبِهِ قِلَّتَنا، وَاَعْزِزْ بِهِ ذِلَّتَنا، وَاَغْنِ بِهِ عائِلَنا، وَاَقْضِ بِهِ عَنْ مَغْرَمِنا، وَاجْبُرْبِهِ فَقْرَنا، وَسُدَّ بِهِ خَلَّتَنا، وَيَسِّرْ بِهِ عُسْرَنا،
                  وَبَيِّضْ بِهِ وُجُوهَنا، وَفُكَّ بِهِ اَسْرَنا، وَاَنْجِحْ بِهِ طَلِبَتَنا، وَاَنْجِزْ بِهِ مَواعيدَنا، وَاسْتَجِبْ بِهِ دَعْوَتَنا،
                  وَاَعْطِنا بِهِ سُؤْلَنا، وَبَلِّغْنا بِهِ مِنَ الدُّنْيا
                  وَالاْخِرَةِ آمالَنا، وَاَعْطِنا بِهِ فَوْقَ رَغْبَتِنا،

                  O Allah let us bear out and hold up that which Thou make them known to us as the truth, and let us be fully aware of that which we fall short of doing.
                  O Allah, through him, set in order our disorder; gather and unite our flock; stitch together our sundered separation; turn our want and poverty into sufficiency; lift us up from our degradation; free us from our misery; pull us out from our debts; help us to get out from the ditch of cares and sorrows; fill the gap created by confusion among us; let our difficulties be easy to deal with; refine our substance and style; untie our ropes and straps; let our efforts succeed well and secure success; make us fulfill our promises; give answers to our prayers; listen to our requests; cause us to obtain the good of this world and the hereafter; give us much and more than our expectations,


                  يا خَيْرَ الْمَسْؤولينَ وَاَوْسَعَ الْمُعْطينَ، اِشْفِ بِهِ صُدُورَنا، وَاَذْهِبْ بِهِ غَيْظَ قُلُوبِنا، وَاهْدِنا بِهِ لِمَا اخْتُلِفَ فيهِ مِنَ الْحَقِّ بِاِذْنِكَ، اِنَّكَ تَهْدي مَنْ تَشاءُ اِلى صِراط مُسْتَقيم، وَانْصُرْنا بِهِ عَلى عَدُوِّكَ وَعَدُوِّنا اِلـهَ الْحَقِّ آمينَ، اَللّـهُمَّ اِنّا نَشْكُو اِلَيْكَ فَقْدَ نَبِيِّنا صَلَواتُكَ
                  عَلَيْهِ وَآلِهِ، وَغَيْبَةَ وَلِيِّنا، وَكَثْرَةَ عَدُوِّنا، وَقِلَّةَ عَدَدِنا، وَشِدّةَ الْفِتَنِ بِنا، وَتَظاهُرَ الزَّمانِ عَلَيْنا،
                  فَصَلِّ عَلى مُحَمَّد وَآلِهِ، وَاَعِنّا عَلى ذلِكَ بِفَتْح مِنْكَ تُعَجِّلُهُ، وَبِضُرٍّ تَكْشِفُهُ، وَنَصْر تُعِزُّهُ وَسُلْطانِ حَقٍّ تُظْهِرُهُ،
                  وَرَحْمَة مِنْكَ تَجَلِّلُناها وَعافِيَة مِنْكَ تُلْبِسُناها، بِرَحْمَتِكَ يا اَرْحَمَ الرّاحِمينَ

                  O the best of givers and bestowers; and cleanse our hearts, unburden our emotions from hate and anger, and,
                  in the event of dispute in the matter of truth, show us the right path.
                  Verily, Thou guide whoever Thou will to the right path. Let us, through him, get the better of Thy enemies and
                  our opponents, O True God. Be it so.
                  O Allah, we feel uneasy about and are disturbed by the departure of our Prophet, Thy blessings be on him and
                  on his family, the absence of our guardian-friend, too many enemies, our numerical scarcity, widespread
                  disorder, and the vicissitudes of time.
                  So send blessings on Muhammad and on his family, and help us to overcome this state of affairs at once.
                  Disperse the ominous clouds hanging over our heads; lend a helping hand to achieve success; bring in the rule
                  of justice and fair play; make us bright, free from grief; and take care of us. Through Thy mercy, O most
                  Merciful.

                  recite this Dua in every night of Ramadhan Month:

                  اَللّـهُمَّ بِرَحْمَتِكَ فِي الصّالِحينَ فَاَدْخِلْنا، وَفي عِلِّيّينَ فَارْفَعْنا، وِبَكَأس مِنْ مَعين مِنْ عَيْن سَلْسَبيل فاسْقِنا، وَمِنَ الْحُورِ الْعينِ بِرَحْمَتِكَ فَزَوِّجْنا، وَمِنَ الْوِلْدانِ الُْمخَلَّدينَ كَاَنَّهُمْ لُؤْلُؤٌ مَكْنُونٌ فَاَخْدِمْنا، وَمِنْ ثِمارِ الْجَنَّةِ وَلُحُومِ الطَّيْرِ فَاَطْعِمْنا،
                  وِمِنْ ثِيابِ

                  السُّنْدُسِ وَالْحَريرِ وَالاِسْتَبْرَقِ فَاَلْبِسْنا، وَلَيْلَةَ الْقَدْرِ وَحَجَّ بَيْتِكَ الْحرامِ، وَقَتْلاً في سَبيلِكَ فَوفِّقْ لَنا،
                  وَصالِحَ الدُّعاءِ وَالْمَسْأَلةِ فاسْتَجِبْ لَنا، وَاِذا جَمَعْتَ الاَوَّلينَ وَالاخِرينَ يَوْمَ الْقِيامَةِ فاَرْحَمْنا وَبَراءَةً مِنَ النّارِ فَاكْتُبْ لَنا، وَفي جَهَنَّمَ فَلا تَغُلَّنا، وَفي عَذابِكَ

                  وَهَوانِكَ فَلا تَبْتَلِنا، وَمِنَ الزَّقُّومِ وَالضَّريعِ فَلا تُطْعِمْنا، وَمَعَ الشَّياطينِ فَلا تَجْعَلْنَا،
                  وَفِي النّارِ عَلى وُجُوهِنا فَلا تَكْبُبْنا، وَمِنْ ثِيابِ النّارِ وَسَرابيلِ الْقَطِرانِ فَلا تُلْبِسْنا، وَمِنْ كُلِّ سُوء يا لا اَله إلاّ اَنْتَ بِحَقِّ لا اِلـهَ إلاّ اَنْتَ فَنَجِّنا.

                  Imam Sadeq(as) said: recite this Dua in every night of Ramadhan
                  month

                  اَللّـهُمَّ اِنّي اَسْاَلُكَ اَنْ تَجْعَلَ فيـما تَقْضي وَتُقَدِّرُ مِنَ الاَمْرِ الَْمحْتُومِ فِى الاَمْرِ الْحَكيمِ، مِنَ الْقَضاءِ الَّذي لا يُرَدُّ وَلا يُبَدَّلُ اَنْ تَكْتُبَني مِنْ حُجّاجِ بَيْتِكَ الْحَرامِ، الْمَبْرُورِ حَجُّهُمْ، الْمَشْكُورِ سَعْيُهُمْ،الْمَغْفُورِ ذُنُوبُهُمْ، اَلْمُكَفَّرِ عَنْ سَيِّئاتِهِمْ،
                  وَأنْ تَجْعَلَ فيـما تَقْضي وَتُقَدِّرُ، اَنْ تُطيلَ عُمْري في خَيْر وَعافِيَة، وَتُوَسِّعَ في رِزْقي،
                  َوَتَجْعَلَني مِمَّنْ تَنْتصِرُ بِهِ لِدينِكَ وَلا تَسْتَبْدِلْ بي غَيْري

                        Ramadan Quiz: A Quick Checklist for the month of Ramadan

                        Make a resolve to win the maximum favor of Allah by performing extra Voluntary prayers (Nawaafil), making frequent Dua and increased remembrance (Dhikr).

                        Try to recite some Holy Quran after every Prayer. In fact if you read 3-4 pages after every Prayer you can easily finish the entire Quran in Ramadan!

                        Study the Tafseer (commentary) every morning.

                        Invite a person you are not very close with or your relatives to your home for Iftaar, at least once a week (Weekend). You will notice the blessings in your relationships!

                        Bring life to your family! Everyday, try to conclude the fast with your family and spend some quality time together to understand each other better.

                        Seek the rare and oft-neglected rewards of the night better than 1000 months (Laylatul-Qadr / Shab-e-Qadr).

                        Weep in private for the forgiveness of your sins: Ramadan is the month of forgiveness and Allah's Mercy! It's never too late.

                        Learn to control your tongue and lower your gaze. Remember the Prophet's (pbuh) warning that lying, backbiting, and a lustful gaze all violate the Ramadan fast!

                        Encourage others to enjoin and love goodness, and to abandon everything that Allah dislikes. Play the role of a Da'ee (one who invites to Allah) with zeal, passion, and sympathy.

                        Experience the joy of Tahajjud prayers late at night and devote yourself purely and fully to Allah in the Itikaf retreat during the last 10 days of Ramadan.

                              11th of Ramazan 1428 A.H. – Anniversary of the event of Moakhat (religious brotherhood)

                              After the migration from Makkah to Madina, the migrant muslims faced a number of difficulties including economic and social hardships. Realizing this and with the intent of eliminating difference of race, culture and status, the Prophet Mohammad(sawaw) decided to declare religious brotherhood among the migrants (Muhajireen) and the residents of Madina (Ansaar). This was in accordance with the instructions of Allah(swt) in the Quran where He says “Innamal mominoona ikhwa” (All momineen are brothers among themsevles). Prophet Mohammad(sawaw) gathered all muslims from the two groups and declared the concept which marked an important milestone in the Islamic History.

                              In making one muhajir brother of one ansaar, the Prophet(sawaw) took special care of the compatibilities in their traits and nature. This way he made sure that they would easily get along as brothers and no conflict would arise between their personalities. Some of the examples of this brotherhood are as follows:
                              - Hazrat Abu Darda(r.a.) was made the brother of Hazrat Salman Farsi(r.a.)
                              - Hazrat Abuzar Ghaffari(r.a.) was made the brother of Hazrat Manzar bin Umair(r.a.)
                              - Hazrat Huzaifa Yamani(r.a.) was made the brother of Hazrat Ammar Yasir(r.a.)
                              - Hazrat Maasab bin Umair(r.a.) was made the brother of Hazrat Abu Ayub Ansari(r.a.)
                              - Hazrat Salama bin Waqash(r.a.) was made the brother of Hazrat Zubair bin Awam(r.a.)

                              During this brotherhood, Imam Ali(a.s.) was not made brother of anyone. He(a.s.) had tears in his eyes at that time and looked with inquisition at Prophet Mohammad(sawaw). The Prophet(sawaw) held Imam Ali(a.s.)’s hand in his hand and declared in front of all Muslims that “Ali(a.s.) is my brother – in this world and the hereafter”.

                                Ramadhan in Imam Ali (as)’s words


                                Many persons get nothing out of their fasts but hunger and thirst; many more get nothing out of their night prayers but exertions and sleepless nights. Wise and sagacious persons are praiseworthy even if they do not fast and sleep during the nights.
