Hatred has nothing to do with critisism.
I am a She3a and like most of us we do not hate the Sunnies.. You saw most of the comments to this question indicate that the She3as hearts have no hatred.. yes there is critisim and even dislike for some of the Sunnies actions but no hatred and certainly no 7eqd
I am against comparing the Sunnies to statues. This hurts their feelings and I prefer if we use nicer ways of explaining things to them. The link between the WAY sunnies pray and the Way the people in the statues used to pray does not indicate that all the She3a believe the Sunnies are just like those Kufar or like statues. This is just a link to send a message to the Sunnies.
Honestly I wouldn't like to say that the Sunnies behave like Qufar and that their prayer is batel! I know a religious Sunnie, who I respect alot.. who explained to me that the Sunnies pray like that because they believe its a Sunna, and they can pray just like us and put their hands down if they want to.
What the She3a are trying to explain, is that we She3a don't pray like you and fold our arms like that because we belive that before the Islam as you mentioned a long time ago.. the people used to pray in this manner. Therefore when Islam came along, the people continued with this behaviour, except they prayed for Allah instead of their old Gods. It is even known that some of the people who used to pray for those Gods and became Muslims, they couldn't stop praying for their old Gods. They used to hold the statues while they are praying for Allah (sw) . When the prophet saw those actions he demanded that they put their hands down when they are praying and not hold anything in their arms. Thats why in the She3a mathhab,. we are not allowed to pick up anything in our hands when we are praying and put them down beside us so that we do not look like the people in the statues.
I would like to say that we She3a do not intend to say you are just like them Kufar, or comapre you to them, we are just telling you why we do not pray like you because we do not want to be compared to them. The She3a brother did not accuse you of anything, he is only showing you that if you do not want to be compared to them,, why do you still pray like such people.
About the turba
Firstly what is the turba? What is it made of?, and why the She3a make sugud on it? Also is it a wagib or a Sunna?
The turba as its name describes is just a peice of turab from the ground.
The she3a pray on anything that is naturaly coming form the earth, if it is not possible to pray on the earth itself, we pray on anything that comes from the earth...
That means: the ground, which consists of turab, 7agar, grass, anything coming from the ground such as the trees that grow on the ground, the leaves that come from the trees.
The she3a belive that Allah ordered us to make
segood سجود
on the groud and we take that litrally on the ground. It is known that the prophet (s.a.w) used to pray out in the open with the people under the sun. There are hadeeths about the prophet where one time it was raining and the ground was muddy so one of the people asked to pray in the tents on the 7aseer the carpet which was made out of natural materials from the trees) That is why the She3as can pray on this kind of carpet. But not the ones made out of plastics
There was saying that when there wasn't a 7aseer people used to take a peice little rock to make sugud on because they didn't want to pray on the carpets that are made out of animal fur rather than natural things from the earth.
Note that the she3as make the turba very small just to make
sugud سجود
on it, it is even smaller than the forehead. Some she3as started making HUGE turbas and the sheikhs forbided that because we do not want to be compared to those who pray for statues.
Please try to understand things
