    Lady Fatimah Al-Zahra (peace be upon her), the daughter of the Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him and his family), s his beloved, chosen by Allah (Glory be to Him) for unique attributes that elevated her to an exalted position. She became the "Lady of the Women of the Worlds, from the first to the last." Below are some brief details about Lady Fatimah Al-Zahra (peace be upon her):

    Her Name and Lineage: Fatimah, daughter of the Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him and his family).

    Most Famous Titles: Al-Zahra (the Radiant), Lady of the Women of the Worlds, Al-Hawra' Al-Insiyya (the Human Houri), Al-Mumtahina (the Tested), As-Sabira (the Patient), As-Siddiqa (the Tthful), At-Tahira (the Pure), Al-Ma'suma (the Infallible), Muhadditha (the One Who Converses with Angels), the Beloved of Her Father, Al-Batul (the Chaste).

    Her Kunyas (Pseudonyms): Umm Abiha (Mother of Her Father), Umm al-Hassanayn (Mother of the Two Hasans), Umm al-A'imma an-Nujaba' (Mother of the Noble Imams).

    Her Martyrdom: She passed ay as a martyr on a Monday or Sunday (13th, 14th, or 15th of Jumada al-Awl, or 1st, 2nd, or 3rd of Jumada al-Thani in the year 11 AH).

    Reason for Her Martyrdom: She s stck in the face by Qunfudh, the freed slave of Umar, and her child s miscarried due to a blow to her abdomen when she s caught between the door and the ll.

    Her Burial Place: Medina, though her grave is unknown as per her will to her husband Imam Ali (peace be upon him).


    A Glimpse into the Life of Fatimah Al-Zahra

    It is narrated from Imam Musa ibn Ja'far Al-Kadhim (peace be upon him) that he said: "Fatimah (peace be upon her), when she called upon Allah, would alys pray for the believers, both men and women, but never for herself. It s said to her: 'O Daughter of the Messenger of Allah, you pray for others, but not for yourself?' She replied: 'The neighbor first, then the house.'" (1)


    Hadiths from Fatimah Al-Zahra

    It is narrated from Lady Fatimah Al-Zahra (peace be upon her) that she said: "The smile in the face of a believer is a cause for his entrance into Paradise, and the smile in the face of a denier saves him from the torment of Hell." (2)


    Salutation upon Fatimah Al-Zahra

    "O Allah, send blessings upon the tthful and pure Fatimah, the beloved of Your beloved and Your Prophet, the mother of Your beloved ones and Your chosen ones. You selected her and favored her over the women of the worlds. O Allah, avenge her from those who wronged her and despised her rights, and be the avenger of her children’s blood. O Allah, just as You made her the mother of the guiding Imams, the wife of the bearer of the banner, and the revered in the presence of the Most High, send blessings upon her and her mother, blessings that honor her father Muhammad (peace be upon him and his family) and bring comfort to the eyes of her descendants. And send the best salutations and greetings to them from me at this moment." (3)
